This website highlights my scholarly and creative activities, teaching interests, and accomplishments. In addition to my professional activities, my “passions” also include art/graphic design and sports activities, including horseback riding.
As noted on my LinkedIn page, I am interested in using my research, strategic development, and writing skills as a marketing consultant or expert witness. Let me know if I can help you with research or branding/promotional activities.
I (Pamela Miles Homer) earned my Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Oregon (1986). After 5 years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas, Austin, I accepted a position as an Associate Professor of Marketing at California State University, Long Beach (1991). I was promoted to Full Professor in 1995. I recently retired from teaching, but continue to work on research with younger co-authors.
In addition to a program of research that deals with ad-based persuasion, the impact of emotion/affect on consumer judgments and persuasion, and human values; my research interests include structural equation models and methodological issues. My publications appear in well-respected outlets, including top-tier academic journals in the social sciences.
